Last weekend we headed to the USA to our very favorite camping spot !
We were meeting up with good friends of ours, spending lots of time on the beach and camping at our favorite campground. The Powder Horn . I can't say enough about this campground, it to me is The Hilton of campgrounds. There is so much offered here. Three pools, hot tubs, mini golf, playgrounds, a store, nice clean bathrooms ! I firmly believe it is the only way to camp ! There must be bathrooms ! That's all I ask, and if they are clean - BONUS !
Hubby got right to work setting up the new tent ....
He's smart like that :) I would have needed the instructions and many hours to figure out how to get this tent to stand, he did it in minutes :)
Almost done ....
The girlies helped out by throwing stuff down to daddy ......
Here it is !!! The new tent ! Tons of room :)
Three air mattresses, all of our luggage and still lots of room to walk around ...
LOVE IT !!!!!
Little Man enjoying all the extra room in the new tent .....
This is also the pic that made me realize it's time for a trip to the hairdresser for a certain boy .....
Check this out! Yes, it is what you think it is! Not one but two baby skunks hanging around our campsite ! All through the day ..... We never saw a Mama in sight .... phew ..... but still worried we thought we would do a little searching on Google .... Did you all know that a skunk can spray from 8 days old ???????
Thankfully they didn't seem concerned with spraying anyone, they were just searching for something to eat . You have to admit they are kinda cute - From a safe distance :)
The nights were filled with sitting around the fire, talking, eating s'mores and roasting hotdogs until kids and adults started falling asleep .....
Pretty daughters who despite their Mama loading them up on the sunscreen still managed to get burned by the sun ......
The kids had tons of fun playing together ......
and became instant friends ......
The Girls :)
Do Joy and I look a little sunburned and tired ... or is it just me ???
The Guys :)
We had a great weekend :)
Part 2 to come ......

It looks like a lovely campground. And it looks like you had a great time.
My mom has a funny story about skunks and camping.
We were camping in Cavendish PEI, and we were all sleeping (in various tents) when my mom heard a lot of rustling close to the tent. She looked out and saw something in the "stuff" by the picnic table. She threw my dad's shoe at it. The rustling stopped for a while, and then it resumed. So she threw his other shoe.
We're all awake now, wondering what's up, and my dad's going, "Christine, my shoes!" When slowly a skunk backed out of the bag.
She hit it. And it didn't spray. We were lucky.
