Sunny Days Are On The Way ....

We've been getting little glimpses that summer is soon on it's way ....
The odd sunny day in amongst dozens of rainy days ....
So when the sun comes out ....
We take advantage by spending lots of time at the park!
It's great to see the kids smile again ....
Laughing ....
Doing what kids are supposed to do ....
Having no worries ....
Getting over the fact ....
That our life has seemed like one cloud after the other ....
Rolling in as fast and huge as they can ....
So seeing them happy ...
Makes us happy ....
So when the clouds of life roll in ....
We're choosing to see the beauty after the storm ...

The Last of the Summer Days

August is really flying by. Making me realize that it will soon be time to trade in the tees for a hoodie, the shorts for jeans and the worst !! The flipflops for shoes ....
So until then , we're not going to miss one second of summer beauty ,
One second of heat from the blazing sun ....
We will make time ....
to fill up the water balloons ....
for one last water fight ....
to enjoy the beauty of the flowers ....
to wear those rubber boots as long as he can ....
before they have to be packed away until spring ....
to swing ....
and see our shadows ....
to lay in the grass before it's covered with snow ....
to enjoy the beauty that's all around us ....
for one last picnic ....
before all the bugs are gone for the winter ....
for sitting in the shade ....
swimming with the cousins at least one more time ....
having fun splashing ....
and floating in the hot sun ....
So until the leaves start falling , we'll soak up those last few days of summer ....

Eating Meals outside, after a swim in the pool ....
Running around in bare feet ....
Wrestling with Daddy under the trees ....
Mason Jars filled with iced cold drinks :)
I hope everyone is having a great Summer !

Things Found Outside

I've been neglecting my blog the last two weeks ! It's simply because the weather has been so HOT, and we don't dare come inside until bedtime .... and living where we live we need to take advantage of every single nice day  :) It won't be long and the snow will be falling ....
When I was watering my flowers this morning, I looked down and thought it looked like this flower had a face :) Does anyone else see it ??
The girls had to dress up as a bug one day at the DVBS they were attending. Hence my Ladybug and Bumble Bee. They constructed these outfits all on their own :) Watch out Alexander McQueen ....
Little Man likes to play his drums more and more as the days go by ...
Which is why we keep them in the playhouse ....
My flowers did not always look like this, in fact a few weeks ago, I thought they were on death's door, great invention that miracle grow !!
We've been blessed by an abundant of blueberries on my Grammie's bushes ....
Sunny days at a new park we discovered by chance on our grocery shopping trip in Maine ....
Proof that my garden is not a complete failure ! Green beans and lettuce picked fresh this morning :)
Everything is Fresh :) Fruit and Veggies everywhere :)
The girls are at basketball camp this week from 9-4 everyday. We thought it would be good for them to improve their skills .... They were more excited to be with their friends, take bagged lunches and swim at the public pool on Wednesday :) Money well spent :)
Happy Summer !!!

Bits & Pieces Of Our Weekend

The great news is " My HERBS" are actually growing !!!!
The word Miracle comes to mind :)
No pics of my garden ....
That would be way too embarrassing ...
My girls were in the local parade with their basketball teams ....
Here they come now, Hal & Mag are walking beside the truck ...
Yep ~ those two burgandy dots ....
Miss. Maggey
Miss. Halley
Miss. Maggey again ...
Miss. Halley again ...
Cooper waiting for his big sisters to come down the parade route ....
Complete with grocery bag for all the candy he is hoping will be thrown ....
There was lots of swimming ....
My baby getting older, swimming with no help just the trusty lifejacket ...
Acting silly ...
Cooling off ....
The Longest Covered Bridge in the world at sunset http://www.town.hartland.nb.ca/html/bridge.htm
Playing until the fireworks begin ....
Fireworks over the water ...
What better way to end a hot summer day :)
