Today the sun is shining ! I know everyone woke up this morning and became instantly alarmed! Do not fear people !!! That big yellow ball of fire in the sky is the SUN :) You see we just got through a solid week of RAIN. Not just rain but basically we were dumped with constant buckets of water. I heard someone say we got upwards of eight inches of rain !!! Don't quote me on that though :)
This is what it looked like out our front window. What you can't see are the kids inside the window going stir crazy being stuck inside for a week and the Mama who was losing her mind !
Tractors never moved for days .. Unheard of around here ... On the plus side we never got stuck behind one driving down the road :)
Rows of potatoes looked like this .....
Ponds started forming in the fields ....
Our little pool became swollen with water and eventually it started pouring over the side .....
This is what my garden looks like ..
And lets face it .... my garden doesn't have a fighting chance of survival even without the possibility of being drowned .....
So please don't come knocking on my door looking for any fresh produce .... at least not anytime soon :)
The rain finally stopped and it was time to play in the water ....
You can't deny the beauty of every rainbow and the sun that shines with it :)
